Tomato Maskotka
Tomato ‘Maskotka’ is a compact and highly productive cherry tomato, ideal for growing in pots, containers and smaller gardens. Despite its relatively small plants, it produces generous crops of bright red cherry tomatoes with a deliciously sweet, juicy flavour.
A particularly good choice where space is limited, ‘Maskotka’ has a naturally bushy habit and does not need its side shoots removing like cordon tomatoes. It can be grown in a greenhouse or outdoors in a sunny, sheltered position and is especially well suited to patio containers.
Sow indoors from February to April. Sow thinly in seed compost and keep warm until germination. Pot seedlings on when large enough to handle and plant into their final position once the risk of frost has passed.
Annual.
Height: approximately 40–60cm.
Position: Full sun.
Harvest: July to October.
Type: Bush / determinate cherry tomato.
Excellent for: Pots, patios, small gardens, salads and snacking.
