Achillea filipendulina "Cloth of Gold"
Achillea filipendulina “Cloth of Gold” (Golden Yarrow) is a striking, statuesque perennial producing large, flat heads of rich golden-yellow flowers held high above attractive, fern-like foliage. Flowering throughout the summer, it makes a wonderful architectural addition to sunny borders and is particularly effective planted amongst grasses and other cottage garden perennials.
Easy to grow and extremely hardy, ‘Cloth of Gold’ thrives in a sunny position and well-drained soil. Once established it is drought tolerant and the flowers are highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. The tall stems also make excellent cut flowers, and the flowerheads can be dried for arrangements.
Hardy perennial.

Height: approximately 1.5–1.8m.
Position: Full sun.
Flowers: June to September.
Excellent for: Cottage gardens, prairie planting, pollinators, cut flowers and dried arrangements.
Sowing: Sow from spring to early autumn, lightly covering the seed with compost. Germination can be a little slow, so keep the compost moist and be patient. Once large enough to handle, pot seedlings on before planting out into their final position.
Grown, harvested and packed by Missenden Seeds in the Chiltern Hills. Open-pollinated and grown without chemical pesticides or peat.
